description Mammoth Pool Campground is located half a mile from the recreation area at Mammoth Pool Reservoir. This primitive campground winds through a stand of Ponderosa pine and cedar trees along the San Joaquin River in the midst of a mountainous landscape.
drivingDirection From Fresno, California, take Highway 41 north. Turn northeast on Forest Road 200 and pass through North Fork. Take Minarets Road east, follow it 37 miles, turn right on Mammoth Pool Road and follow it 4 miles to Mammoth Pool Campground.
facilitiesDescription Each campsite has a picnic table, grill and campfire ring. Vault toilets are provided, but campers must bring drinking water. Campers will find a pay phone, gas and camping supplies at nearby Wagner's Mammoth Pool Resort.

importantInformation Maximum RV length is 30 feet This is bear country; please keep food in bear-proof lockers The reservoir is closed for boating and fishing from May 1st to June 16th for deer migration In accordance with standard industry practices, Sierra Recreation will be assessing a $7 additional vehicle fee per day on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered as one vehicle for determining additional vehicle fees. The third and fourth motorcycle would also be considered as one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.
