Discover incredible fishing at one of Colorado's largest reservoirs: Eleven Mile State Park! Rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout, kokanee salmon, northern pike and carp are all found within the waters of this 3,400 surface-acre reservoir. Waterfront camping, scenic vistas, uncrowded boating and ideal wind conditions for sailing and windsurfing make Eleven Mile a best bet for all visitors. The park is open year-round, offering spectacular Rocky Mountain sunsets and plenty of room to breathe. Visitors may choose from a variety of campsites at Eleven Mile State Park's 348 site facility. The Showers, Flush Toilets and laundry Room are open from May 1st to September 30th each year. The Witcher's Cove Boat Ramp is open from Friday of Memorial Weekend through Monday of Labor Day weekend each year. The North Shore Boat Ramps are open from ice off until October 31st each year. Once we are closed to boating , the reservoirs are closed to all boating including all canoes, kayaks and any other hand carried vessels. We do however, continue to allow belly boats (which are considered fishing aids) that are powered by FINS ONLY (no oars, motors or sails are allowed). All Reservations have stopped for the season and all sites are on a first come first serve basis. This means you have to be here with your camping equipment ready to stay and camp to get a site. The following campgrounds have closed for the season as of October 15, 2016: Rocky Ridge Loops B through E, North Shore D Loop and Still Mountain West Loop. From Colorado Springs take Hwy 24 west for 38 miles through Lake George. West of Lake George, turn left (south) on County Rd 90 and follow it for four miles. From that point, continue south on County Rd 92 for six miles to the park. |

Eleven Mile State Park is located in South Park, a high alpine meadow at 8600 feet above sea level. Most areas lack trees but provide panoramic views of surrounding mountains or granite outcrops. Shade may be naturally provided by trees and other vegetation in some areas, particularly within some sites in Rocky Ridge C and E loops and the Back Country campsites.
