The Guard Station is approximately 670 square feet with a full kitchen, a furnished living room that includes a couch (folds out to full bed), an original buffet, a desk and a newly installed gas “wood stove” heater. The kitchen includes a fridge, stove and sink. The bedroom has a full bed, and the restroom has a claw foot tub, a toilet and a pedestal sink. Outside amenities include a picnic table, a fire grill and a horseshoe pit. |

Please contact the Ranger District at (541) 433-3200 prior to arriving at the cabin to check on any restrictions or conditions, such as fire or road closures, weather or storms that may affect the quality of your visit Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. and the check-in time is 4:00 p.m. The guard station is intended for no more than four people There is no phone service and limited cell coverage No utility hookups No RV or tent camping allowed The cabin is a non-smoking facility Pets are allowed outside only Please plan to bring your own specialized cooking utensils as basic cooking utensils are supplied. You will need to provide your own garbage bags, linens, sleeping bags/bedding, dish soap, and toiletries. Cleaning supplies are provided and are located either under the sink or next to the refrigerator Sweep all floors and mop if necessary (broom, Swiffer mops are in the storage space on the right of the fridge). Swiffer wipes under kitchen sink Clean counter tops, stove/oven, and sink (cleaning supplies under kitchen sink) Please pack out all food and garbage Keep the building and grounds clean to deter squirrel, mice, rats, bears and other wildlife from area Doors and windows should be locked and all personal items removed upon departure MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE LOCK-BOX Click here for more information about Deschutes National Forest.
