From I-15 take Springville exit 260. Continue east through the intersection of Main Street and Highway 400 South. At the four-way stop at the end of 400 South, turn right onto Canyon Road. Keep heading east up Canyon Road for about 6 miles. After passing Hobble Creek Golf Course, the road will fork; stay to the right. Balsam Campground is approximately 6 miles from the golf course past the junction of Forest Roads 132 and 058. |

The campground contains one group site that can accommodate up to 100 people. It contains picnic and serving tables, a campfire ring, water spigot and cement site pad. This group site is a walk-to site accessed by a steep, paved trail from the parking area. Single family sites are available as well, with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. |

Caution: bears frequent the area; be aware, keep a clean camp and store all food items in closed containers No water, electric or sewer hookups available This is a "pack it in, pack it out" facility; please bring garbage bags Gate closes nightly at 10 p.m. A per-day, per-vehicle fee will be collected onsite for extra vehicles Off-road vehicles are not permitted This campground has first come, first served sites For more information, please call 801-798-3571 Annually on the 3rd Saturday in August, the Hobble Creek Half Marathon begins at Balsam's group site; several thousand runners will be in the campground and vicinity for a short period of time Click here for more info about the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Trailers/Campers and RVs: Please fill up with water before arriving on site.
