Description

Pickett's Mill is one of the best preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation. Visitors can travel roads used by Federal and Confederate troops, see earthworks constructed by these men, and walk through the same ravine where hundreds died. An authentic 1800s pioneer cabin is furnished and open for tours during certain events.

Directions

Located Take I-20 exit #44. Turn onto Thornton Rd. (Hwy 278) West. Follow Hwy 278 West for 10 miles. Make a right onto Hwy 92. Travel North on Hwy 92 for approximately 6 miles. Look for brown Pickett's Mill signs as you continue. Turn left onto Due West Rd. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Mt. Tabor Church Rd. The site is 1/2 mile on the right.
