Description

Pine Log Creek Trail features a 4.5 miles path crossing seven rustic footbridges over Pine Log Creek. From two overlooks, hikers can view Pine Log Mountain - one of the highest elevations in Bartow County's Appalachian foothills - and the site of the Pine Log Cherokee Indian Village. The trail system includes two loops east and west and is rated moderate to difficult with rugged terrain. The eastern loop takes hikers by an early CCC quarry pond for picturesque views. Directions

I-575 N Exit 16, stay to your LEFT as you exit onto the ramp. Merge to the RIGHT. You will come to a traffic light. Turn RIGHT onto Marietta Hwy and continue to follow Marietta Hwy until you come to the intersection of Marietta Hwy and Hwy 140. (There will be a Walgreens on your left and a CVS on your right) Turn LEFT onto Hwy 140. You will go approximately 15 miles. When you have reached the 4 way stop in Waleska, it will be about another 15 minutes to reach the trail entrance. The entrance will be on your right and is very easy to miss. If you reach a stop sign near railroad tracks, you went too far!
