The AT runs 16.3 miles from NH Hwy 112 to US Hwy 3 (Franconia Notch) (I-93). Along the way the trail passes Mount Wolf, the Eliza Brook shelter, Kinsman Mountain South Peak, the Kinsman Pond shelter, Lonesome Lake, and the Lonesome Lake hut.
