The Appalachian Trail runs 21.1 miles from NH Hwy 16 (Pinkham Notch) to US Hwy 2. Along the way, the trail passes Wildcat "D," Wildcat Mountain, the Carter Notch Hut, Carter Dome, Mount Hight, South Carter Mountain, Middle Carter Mountain, North Carter Mountain, the Imp Campsite shelter, Mount Moriah, Middle Moriah Mountain, and the Rattle River shelter.
