The 2, 723-acre Rhododendron State Park is named after the 16-acre Rhododendron Maximum grove on the property. An accessible trail is available for walking or hiking and takes you through the flower clusters. The grove on the property is the largest in New England and was established as a National Natural Landmark in 1982. Pets are permitted in some areas of the park.
