This popular park offers extraordinary views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Explore the secrets of this northwest Seattle watershed, nine miles from downtown. Here, 220 acres of lush forest, meadows, wetlands, creeks, and beach are formed by the magic of water and time. Come take part in an education program, have a picnic, or get involved as a volunteer teacher or as part of an outdoor work party. Walk the Pipers Canyon Story Trail, play on the uniquely salmon themed play area, or touch time at the historic Piper Orchard.

From I-5:<br />Take Exit 173 to Northgate Way and turn west<br />Cross Meridian<br />Northgate Way becomes NW 105th Street<br />Cross Aurora Ave. N (Highway 99)<br />Turn right on Greenwood Ave N.<br />Turn left on NW 110th St (look for the crosswalk lights above the street).<br />After 6 blocks, NW 110th Street becomes NW Carkeek Park Rd<br />NW Carkeek Park Rd. winds down into the valley for 1/2 mile to the park entrance.<br />Watch for the Park Department rainbow sign on your left.<br />To find the Education Center, take an immediate right just inside the park.
