MOUNTAIN BIKING: Coyote Ridge

Single Tracks →

Description

This is a great trial for a long uphill endurance. The parking lot is right off of Taft Hill Rd, when you park you have about a 0.4 mile flat ride till you get to the base of the foothills. The climb begins there, uphill for another 1 mile or so. Then you will treverse across the first range of hills to an entrance to the next range. That is where the fun begins. It is straight up hill for another 4 miles or so, winding back and forth across the foothill. When you reach the top of the mountain you can see all of Fort Collins & Loveland, if you look west you see a beautiful valley.

I believe you can continue along the top of the mountain but I have yet to venture that. If you do please give me your feedback.

The ride back down is amazing, not too technical but a good downhill ride for about 4 miles.

Have fun.

Jim
