In the winter this is a groomed XC ski trail that is also opened to snowshoers, walkers, runners and fat bikes. It loops around the town of Leadville and through the mining district. Amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Traveling clockwise from the main TH you will cross several town roads so be cautious of traffic. After the first 2 miles or so you are out of town and just enjoying the scenery.
The main TH is on the south side of US 24 on the West end of town, just west of the CMC entrance road.
