MOUNTAIN BIKING: Summit Cove/soda Creek Loop

Single Tracks →

Description

Secrets out!!! People are finally starting to hear about this ride.
This was one of my first rides in Summit County. Mountain Bike heaven!! 13 miles of sweet singletrack, Smooth as a babys bottom hardly a rock anywhere, A couple of climbs a killer downhill, and lots of twisty singletrack. I ride it as much as I can. Enjoy.

From the parking lot head south until you find a gate about 1/2 mile . Follow the trail through the gate. There are two intersections stay to the right at these. At 4 miles you come to the Colorado Trail a T intersection go left. Beware of the Blair Witch! Bomb down this hill to Horseshoe Gulch. Continue on the Colorado Trail. Climb towards the West Ridge to an unsigned jct.(Red's Trail) There is a post with Colo. Trail emblem. Continue north on this fine singletrack. The ensuing downhill reminds me of the singletrack from Pavilion Point down to Silver Plume. AND IT DOESNT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!! When you reach Keystone Ranch turn right on the Keystone Ranch Trail to Aqueduct Trail. At the old gate turn left down into Summit Cove, ride past the school and back to the start.

The trailhead parking lot is small so you can also start this ride at Keystone Gulch or Dredge Boat Trailhead.
