This is a little unknown gem nestled in the heart of Watkinsville. I didn't expect to even find this little loop through the woods. While it is admittedly short, about half of the trail is nice singletrack (and the other half is decent doubletrack). The trail loops around the creek, 2 different ponds, and crosses several bridges through some wetlands. There are a couple of different branches off the main loop, so be sure to explore.
From Downtown Watkinsville, head out of town Hwy 53 (experiment station road), and hang a left into Harris Shoals park when you see the sign (about 0.4 miles after the turn at the stop light).<br /><br /><br /><br />From Athens (the north), come down 441 and take the ramp for Watkinsville. Hang a right on Hwy 53, and in about 0.4 miles make a hard right into the park.
