Trail found in Jim Parham's "Off the Beaten Track". Directions shortened for simplicity. 4.6 mile forest road loop through fields, past ponds, an old homesite, and finishing up past newer lake homes on Lake Blue Ridge. Head east on Shady falls Rd out of the parking lot. Just beyond the powerline crossing you will make a right onto Turkey Farm Rd/FS795. about 2 miles in, make a left on Hickey Knob Road. Take a left when this dead ends into Fish Hook Pt Rd. Left on Brown's Cove Rd. Left on Shady Falls Rd and follow back to the parking lot. 4 miles of forest rd with about a 1/2 mile of paved riding.
From GA 515 turn South onto Windy Ridge Rd. Make a left once it dead ends into East 1st St(Old Hwy 76/ Lookout Mt Scenic Hwy). After approximately 300 yards, make a right onto Aska Rd. Continue south about 6 miles and make a left on Shady Falls Rd. Park at the parking lot on the left at the trailhead for Long Branch Loop.
