Description

Epic mountain bike route from Alabama west to the start of the Appalachian trail. All but one section is open to bikes, though currently about 40 miles of the 140 mile route are on paved roads. Tread ranges from fast and mild to technical and wild. Great climbs and connections to other epic north Georgia rides like Fort Mountain and Bear Creek.

Multiple trailheads, here are two from georgiapinhoti.org:<br /><br /><br /><br />Simms Mountain Trailhead: GA 20 west for 10.8 miles. Turn right on Haffaker Road and proceed 2.6 miles to trailhead.<br /><br /><br /><br />High Point Trailhead: GA 20 west for 14.5 miles. Turn right on GA 100 and proceed 9.6 miles to trailhead.
