Long slog up Trey Mountain, down Indian Grave Gap road, up a paved road <br />
through Unicoi Gap then back on FS roads to the start (over another mountain). <br />
Several options at the end to get back depending on how you're feeling, FS178 is <br />
the shortest (left turn off of 44 through a gate).
From Helen, GA drive 1 mile north on GA17/75. Take a left on Alt 75, cross the <br /><br />river, and take an immediate right onto FS44. If you get to a church on 75, you've <br /><br />gone too far. Go 2.9 miles, past the end of the pavement, and park at the Game <br /><br />Check Station.
