MOUNTAIN BIKING: The Bee Trail

Single Tracks →

Description

This is an unmarked network of trails criss-crossing inside the northern end of the Montgomery Creek loop http://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/montgomery-creek-trail.html . Highlights include deep stream crossing, beautiful stream-side singletrack, remote trails, nice downhills and climbs. Follow the most worn path, and you'll do ok.<br />
This trail is also known as "Black Falls" or "Montgomery Creek Falls" for the gorgeous waterfall that it passes.

Directions

From Dahlonega, head out of town West on Hwy 9. Turn right onto 52, and then right again at Grizzle's Store onto Nimblewill Church road. Turn right at the sign for the Bull mountain parking lot, and keep right, heading up USFS 28-1. You're going to drive until you're almost to Camp Frank D. Merril. One trail head starts before you reach any of the roads into Ranger camp, and has one of the T shaped barricades blocking motorized vehicles from using it. Alternatively, access it from many points along the Montgomery Creek loop http://www.singletracks.com/bike-trails/montgomery-creek-trail.html
