MOUNTAIN BIKING: Turner Lake Complex

Single Tracks →

Description

Free parking . 1 or 2 moderate climbs. Some pretty fun downhills. A couple of non-bike friendly bridges. Trail starts on a paved walking path which starts beside the lake. Ride past the athletic fields and you will see where the \"nature trail\" starts. According to the newtonrecreation.com website bicycles are only NOT allowed within the softball and football complex. A few walkers will eyeball you on the trails, but there are no posted rules against riding. I have seen riders of all ages on the trails. Trail will vary between 2-3 miles depending on which route(s) you take. Good beginner trail with just enough hills to get a newbs adrenaline going.

Directions

Take I-20 east from Atlanta, to exit 90. the exit loops around, stay to the right and take a right on Turner Lake Rd. At the first traffic light make a right into the Turner Lake Complex.
