Immediately stars as a steep narrow path towards the canal. The path follows along the canal and is marked with yellow. There are two main trails and plaques along the way with maps on them.
The intersection where Church Street in Fairport turns into Turk Hill. On your left will be an entrance to a complex (The Pie Lady's shop usually has a sign in front of it). Follow all the way to the back where near a dumpster is the entrance to a trail. Follow until you see a sign for Crescent trail.
